Netflix has increased their fees to an extreme amount and possibly There has to be some changes made to Netflix if they want to reign supreme.

Netflix is one of the most well known streaming services in the world. They have been around for many years and have grown to a tremendous entity. Most would say that Netflix paved the way for streaming platforms and services today.

They started out as a DVD rental company, much like Redbox and Blockbuster. A substantial amount of money was made in renting out DVDs and Blu-ray DVDs. They didn’t start streaming until 2007. Even once they started their streaming services they still continued to do rentals for a while. Later in 2010 Netflix grew and began to go international. Their streaming services reach Canada and later following up with other places like the Carribean and Latin America. This is where they started to soar.

The biggest question as of late is, “Does the quality of Netflix justify it’s pricing?”

The subscription prices for Netflix have increased dramatically over the years. Before there were several different subscriptions there was a base price of about $7.99. Over the years the price increased and split into three separate payments. The basic payment went from $7.99 to $8.99. The standard increased from $10.99 to $13.99. Lastly, the premium jumped from $12.99 to $17.99.

The issue about these changes in prices is ultimately, what are you paying for. With these different options they claim that you are paying for screen usage, better sound, and better quality. The thing about this is the quality is basically the same and not worth the cost. At the end of the day the only thing that is really being paid for is more screens. That is not worth the expensive amount of anything more than basic unless someone really needs more than one screen. Even then the standard has two.
